Kristen Sohlman, MACP

Kristen has been providing psychotherapy for over 20 years and her areas of interest include mental health, addictions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family therapy, and cultural competency/humility. Kristen completed her undergraduate studies in 2005 at the University of Guelph earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Co-op Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Studies, and completed her graduate studies in 2019 through Yorkville University earning a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Kristen has completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is EMDR trained.  Kristen’s eclectic work is informed by Emotion Focused Therapy/Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Kristen has experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Through her client centered, collaborative, evidence-based, and empathetic approach to therapy, Kristen can listen without judgment.

In addition to psychotherapy, Kristen has over 10 years of experience in Supervision and 5 years of experience in Clinical Supervision. Kristen offers a collaborative, evidence-based, non-judgmental, and flexible space for Supervisees to grow. Having completed a certificate in Advanced Practice Clinical Supervisor Training (Level 3), Kristen’s integrative approach to Supervision is informed by the Self-Model of Humanistic Supervision (SMHS), Developmental, Competency-Based, Trauma, Feedback-Informed, Process, and Adaptive Supervision in Counselor Training (ASiCT) Models of Supervision.  Her focus is on supporting supervisees through their professional development by fostering a reflective and empathetic environment. Kristen’s warm, Supervisee-centered approach encourages self-awareness and confidence in clinical practice, helping you navigate complex cases, ethical decision-making, and to support you in developing your unique therapeutic style.

Brooke Raynsford, RSW

Brooke is a Registered Social Worker with a background in community-based advocacy and case management. She found herself working as a psychotherapist and realized she loved that work. Brooke works through a holistic and strengths-based lense, exploring the mind-body connection and centering each person's innate capacity for healing and growth.

A lifetime of working with horses has taught Brooke the power and importance of being present, holding space, and creating a sense of belonging within ourselves. Brooke has developed a practice that is grounded in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and draws on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-focused somatic interventions. She also offers relationship therapy informed by the Gottman Method.

Jasmine Peterson, M.A.

Jasmine has provided psychological services to hundreds of clients over the past ten years. She has experience with a broad range of mental health concerns and provides both psychotherapy and assessment services. Jasmine has traveled throughout Northwestern Ontario, including various remote, fly-in communities, to provide services. She is passionate about ensuring that mental health care is accessible, effective, and culturally relevant. 

She is a registered provider with WSIB, Veterans Affairs, and Non-Insured Health Benefits.

Tyra is a counselling psychotherapy student currently completing clinical training and working under supervision at Perspectives Psychological Services.
